Special Needs Halloween Dance

We threw a dance for the special needs ward with Delta and it was such a blast!!! I think it's safe to say that it is one of our best activities. The people are so sweet and it was so awesome to see them having such a good time!

RETREAT!!!

Karen Stack let us use her cabin for our fall retreat and it was SO much fun. I love our girl talk and the time we get to spend together to just hang out and eat junk food :) Love you all so much!!!

Ultimate Frisbee and The Pie

Our exchange with Sigma was such a blast! We played glow in the dark ultimate frisbee and then went to the Pie for pizza afterwards!

The VW

For those of you who don't know that Gail drives a VW bus, i am dedicating a post to it. We are all going to have such great memories of this by the end of the year so here are some pictures so help!!

Border Patrol

One of our favorite fall activities. I know all you girls had a blast!! What's more fun than trudging through a park slash forest, scaling rocks, and hiding in trees while trying to avoid getting "shot" in the dark?!

So it's October and i am FINALLY getting around to updating our lovely Beta blog. I promise it will happen more frequently from now on so stay tuned!

Okay so Jocelyn won't stop bugging me about the quotes from St. George. So here you are... I'm sorry if you weren't there to hear them all, I will try to explain them.

"What's a Bee's?" -Jocelyn
We were at the gas station and we saw some of those fancy new soda can toppers. The ad on the package said something like Protects from Dirt, Spills, Bee's.... something like that.... Jocelyn didn't quite understand.

"You know those times that you save up your swear words and then the time comes to use them and you just can get them out?" -Hannah

Due to the toilet clogging problem that kept arising, we were only able to use one of the bathrooms to go "number two"... whilst discussing this Aubrey says, "Do brown in there."

"I had a dream I had a pepperoni for a baby." -Hannah

"I don't know if I'm sore, I haven't moved my muscles yet." -Liz - First thing I said waking up the morning after we hiked Angels Landing.

Megan was having a remotely awkward conversation with one of the Phi boys ( I think it was Tanner) and says, "Sorry, I'm not very good at conversations."

I was complaining that Gonzalo had spilled coke all over my shirt and not even a minute later Jocelyn says, "Whats all over your shirt?" and I snapped back with,"COKE I SAID!!!"... Jocelyn was a little shocked to say the least.

After the Festival of Colors we were trying to find our way back to the freeway and ended up in some strange neighborhood.... Jocelyn says, "Why is that idiot on the other side of the road???........Is that Kristin??".... Apparently they were as lost as we were.

On our way home Jocelyn says to me, "Is my hair up or down? I can't tell.".... she was exhausted.

This one might be a little embarrassing for the person that said this, buuuuuuut I'm gonna share it anyway...
"That was one of those good dumps you know??" -JOCELYN

The end. If you have any funny quotes or memories from the trip, feel free to share them with the rest of us!

Neon Night

Next neon, we are making it an official activity... okay, actually I don't think that LDSSA would allow us to make it a church official activity. Scratch that. But we ARE going to studio 600 again and this time we are going to have an even bigger clan!

Story time, kiddlets. Gather round!

We were walking back to our car, which by the way I accidentally left unlocked...( we are lucky no hooligans stole our purses.) On our way these young gentleman to get a picture with us in our psychedelic-bright-as-the-sun-neon-attire so we walk over and accept.

boy: "so where do you guys go to school?"

us: "most of us go to the U, what about you guys?"

boy: "oh we go to BYU."

this is the part of the story where we all turned without much discussion, and walked away.

Then we decide that it would be pretty funny to have a facebook picture with some random werido cougars... so we hesitantly comply and get a picture with them. And I gave this random RM my name so we can be Fb buds. Still not sure what we were thinking but hey... I now have a random facebook friend from BYU who knows nothing about me except that I look absolutely stunning in sweaty construction-cone-orange it really brings out my eyes. haha (ps. whose job is it to make the crayon colors? I want that job.)
(pss. please please next time you see Jaime, beta's lovely president ask her what the correct way to say crayon is. haha she gets a kick out of it. thanks haha.)

another story....

DJ marcus wing was crowd surfing and all of us were standing in a circle dancing and when he came surfin' over to our area.... umm... we totally didn't catch him and he fell flat on the ground... it was all beta's fault. It was hilarious.

bottom line-- you are all coming dancing next time.

sincerely,

jocelyn!
